What makes Venice Grand Canal Mall unique is obvious, it's all in the name. When our friend finally arrived, we ate lunch at Cafe Mary Grace. We walked the perimeter and posed for photos but eventually went back indoors to use the washrooms-they have nice foot-operated faucets! At the Food Hall we grabbed a quick snack at Takoyadon and after another hour and a half of exploring the mall, stopped at Serenitea for some cold refreshments. Fortunately somebody opened the doors, we followed and there right in front of us was the grand canal. We thought it might be because it was only 10:40AM and the mall wasn't supposed to open until 11AM. We went inside but found the glass doors leading out to the terrace still closed. ![]() We took our cue from the other alighting passengers and followed them around a corner all the way to the Milano (Turin) mall entrance. We took public transportation (SM North EDSA - BGC bus) and got off at the last stop at Campus Ave. Since we have never been here before, we decided to arrive early because we wanted to see the much-hyped man-made canal and explore the mall without the crowds. We made plans to meet a friend over lunch at Venice Grand Canal Mall on Wed, May 31.
